Join the Chicago Park District and Plants of Concern to learn about plants and how you can participate in community science efforts.
Have you heard of hoary vervain, seen a silverweed, or caught a catchfly? Come learn about the flora of the Chicago Park District natural areas. We will stroll through Marian R. Byrnes Natural Area to see what plants we can find along the way. Learn how you can contribute research and monitoring efforts such as the Plants of Concern, Rapid Floristic Quality Assessment, or just snapping photos and sharing through the iNaturalist app or website.
